How much do sessions cost?

My fee is $250 per session for individuals and $280 per session for couples and families.

Do you accept insurance?

While I do not bill insurance directly, I encourage you to see if your plan offers any reimbursement for mental-health services. I will gladly provide a statement of services for this purpose.

How often will we meet? And for how long?

We will meet for 45 minutes once a week, every week. For couples and families, we will meet for 55 minutes. Longer sessions are offered on a case by case basis at a prorated amount. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and consistency is important for building a strong foundation and getting the most out of our time together, so I meet with all clients on a weekly basis. Because building a strong therapeutic relationship is the most significant factor in the outcome of therapy, I initially recommend coming in for at least 4 sessions to explore and define our goals.  Most clients continue for 6 months or longer.

What if I need to reschedule?

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Please let me know more than 48 hours in advance by phone or email if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid being charged for the missed session.

Are you seeing clients online?

Yes! I am currently offering the option to meet for in person sessions or video/phone sessions for anyone who prefers to meet virtually. I offer also hybrid (part in person, part virtual meetings). I can work with anyone within California at this time.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Since we will agree upon the fee and frequency prior to working together, you will be able to anticipate the total yearly cost of sessions. However, if you’d would like me to provide this estimate for you, please ask and I would be happy to!

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
